Role of Recruitment Consultants in Job Search

One fine evening I was in the lobby of Marriot with a leading Executive Search Recruitment Consultant. He said Indian Economy is presently having a never seen before unprecedented growth and growth could be seen across different industry verticals in all parts of India. But still a number of Job seekers are finding it extremently difficult to find their dream career. He said while there a number of companies having job opportunities, it is only the executive search or recruitment consultant to whom these companies turn into when they exhaust various avenues to identify talents on their own. After all, offering recruitment solutions is the only bread and butter of the consultants and hence they would do it best. He said recruitment is both an art and a science and only experts who have adequate domain and people experience can really excel in recruitments. He added that only recruiters of such high caliber can efficiently identify job seekers who are present all over India and enable both the end companies that have opportunities meet with the job seekers who are in search of a career.

I agree with you. Being a recruiter, we do present multiple opportunities to our candidates and engage with them to understand career goals before suggesting them the right choice and such options / counselling could be offered only by us and not by the hiring organizations.
